In order to keep the BIL:PIL free, we relied on sponsors to make BIL:PIL possible. While both cash and in-kind donations were welcome, in-kind donations were especially important for keeping overhead costs low. Sponsors benefited not only from visibility as a leader for positive change in the healthcare industry, but also from new connections with young researchers and entrepreneurs.
